Have students identify the action word in a sentence by playing “Teachers says” (version of Simon Says). After the teacher gives a direction, the student must repeat the action word before asking, “Teacher may I?”

Demonstrate the use of the pronoun I. Have the students contribute to a class discussion with the sentence “I like_________”.
