  • The intention of this standard is that students understand where to find specific types of information needed and to understand the purposes of different types of sources.

  • This progresses from first and second grade in that students are using a greater variety of sources.

Due to recursive nature of the standards, it is essential that teachers are aware of how all objectives within and between strands work together for optimal instruction.
