Standard 3: Critical Reading and Writing

In Pre-K and kindergarten, students were expected to master this standard objective with guidance and support. In first grade, students are expected to master this objective independently.

Due to recursive nature of the standards, it is essential that teachers are aware of how all objectives within and between strands work together for optimal instruction.
