Strategies That Promote Comprehension (PDF)
|
- The intention of this standard is for students to acknowledge connections between topics and sources. At this level, students recognize that information can be gained from a variety of sources.
- Sources of information that students use can be simple, such as maps, picture graphs, calendars, books, websites, etc.
- The term text is not only referring to the written word. A text is any form information can be obtained, including written, audio, and video.
|
Due to recursive nature of the standards, it is essential that teachers are aware of how all objectives within and between strands work together for optimal instruction.
