Learning to Read and Write (webpage) |
-
The intent of this standard is that students learn new academic vocabulary, content-specific vocabulary, and grade-level vocabulary and use that new language and vocabulary in complete sentences.
-
Shared language activities include shared reading, shared writing, mini-lessons, read alouds, etc.
|
Due to recursive nature of the standards, it is essential that teachers are aware of how all objectives within and between strands work together for optimal instruction.
