  • When students are using active listening skills consistently, they are ready to begin working on skills in forming questions and providing answers to seek help or find information.

  • Students should not be expected to ask and answer questions independently at all times. At this stage, proper guidance and support are provided to students through modeling and reinforcement of asking and answering techniques.

 

Due to recursive nature of the standards, it is essential that teachers are aware of how all objectives within and between strands work together for optimal instruction.
