Concept Sorting webpage |
-
Sorting is the act of separating things and putting them in a particular order.
-
An attribute is a characteristic that is ascribed to something. When students sort words, they are looking for words with similar characteristics and then grouping those words together.
-
The intent of this standard is that students can sort tangible objects by commonalities such as color, concepts (food, sports), or other attributes.
|
Due to recursive nature of the standards, ensure to be cognizant of how all of the objectives within and between strands work together for optimal instruction.
